Sauteed Carrots

Take carrots to a whole new level with this recipe for sauteed carrots, topped with sage. You can easily double, triple or even quaudruple to feed more.

Ingredients

1 tsp butter
1 tsp olive oil
1 1/2 cups carrots diagonally sliced
2 tbsp water
1 pinch pink himalayan salt
1 pinch freshly ground black pepper
1 handful sage leaves chopped

Method

  1. Melt butter in a large non-stick pan over medium heat.
  2. Add oil to pan, swirl to coat. Add carrots and 2 tbsp water.
  3. Partially cover pan with carrots and cook for 10 minutes or until carrots are almost tender.
  4. Add salt and pepper to the pan; increase heat to medium – high heat. Cook for further four minutes or until carrots are tender and lightly browned, stirring frequently.
  5. Sprinkle with sage.
  6. Enjoy!
