GỎI CUỐN (VIETNAMESE RICE PAPER ROLLS)

Ingredients:

  • Rice paper wrappers⁠
  • Lettuce⁠
  • Carrot, julienned⁠
  • Vietnamese mint leaves⁠
  • Protein of your choice (prawns, grilled chicken, tofu)⁠
  • Lee Kum Kee Hoisin Sauce⁠
  • Vermicelli noodles, cooked according to package instructions⁠

Method: 

1.Prepare all the ingredients by washing the lettuce leaves, julienning the carrot, and picking the Vietnamese mint leaves. Cook the protein of your choice and slice it into thin strips.⁠
2.Fill a large bowl or shallow dish with warm water. Dip one rice paper wrapper into the water for a few seconds until it softens. Place it on a clean, damp kitchen towel or a smooth surface.⁠
3.On the lower third of the rice paper wrapper, place lettuce, followed by a small amount of cooked vermicelli noodles, some julienned carrot, a few Vietnamese mint leaves, and strips of your chosen protein.⁠
4.Fold the sides of the rice paper wrapper inward, then tightly roll it up from the bottom, similar to rolling a burrito. Repeat this process with the remaining rice paper wrappers and ingredients.⁠
5.Serve the rice paper rolls with Lee Kum Kee Hoisin Sauce as a dipping sauce. You can also garnish with extra herbs if desired.
