Easy Sausage Rolls
Enjoyed warm as an afternoon snack, or cold as a lunchbox snack, these sausage rolls are sure to go down a treat for kids. Simply serve with tomato sauce.
Ingredients
1 kg Peter Bouchier Beef Mince
1 onion finely diced
1 carrot finely grated
4 sheets Careme Butter Puff Pastry
1 egg lightly beaten with 1/2 cup milk
Method
- Preheat oven to 180 degrees.
- Separate 4 sheets of puff pastry to defrost and cut each sheet in half.
- Mix mince with diced onion and carrot. Evenly divide the mix into 8 portions and place down the centre of the rectangle of pastry, leaving a small gap at both sides.
- Brush egg wash on one of pastry and roll pastry over mince tightly and seal ends.
- Slice this into 3 and lie on a baking paper lined oven tray. Repeat.
- Brush each roll with the egg wash and cook for 20-25 minutes, or until golden.
