Who are the team behind Fresh Fodder and what made you launch?

Fresh Fodder is the childhood dream of owner Max Schofield. The business was established in Orange NSW in 2008. From his small commercial kitchen, Max and his now 25 strong team at Fresh Fodder constantly strive to provide a great range of dips, soups, salads and sauces that focus on great quality authentic flavours, and a business that offers great service - a business that has been built on a boys dreams, his and his dads recipes and a hefty dose of hard work.

Max is a third generation foodie and has over 25 years experience in the food game.

He eats (literally!), sleeps and breathes every aspect of Fresh Fodder and it is his great attention to detail and focus on the end product that has seen the business gain a well respected spot in the marketplace.

What does a day in the life of the Fresh Fodder team look like?

Our commercial kitchen is humming with production from around 6.30am each morning. The production team work to a daily and weekly plan to ensure we have all our key lines in stock. The sales team kick off around 8.30am to phone our stockists and process their orders. Dispatch jumps in around the same time, to start packing and palletising and we ship out of our Head Office 5 days a week to locations all over Australia. Meanwhile our in the field reps are popping into store to meet our retailers and customers face to face to ensure great representation for our brand. There is a constant buzz of energy and never a dull moment.

What was involved in developing the Fresh Fodder range?

We have been established now for 10 years and the thought behind the business was to create food for entertaining and grazing. To build a brand that represented all the moments shared around the table with friends and family using our authentic recipes to bring a little of our love of food to you

If you had to choose, what would be your favourite Fresh Fodder product?

Its a tough call between our Taramosalata and our Hommous. Both come from authentic family recipes and have so many uses in our family kitchen - dips, spreads, ingredients for recipes. It's important to us that our products are versatile, so we like to share how we use them day to day so our customers can enjoy the same great experiences. Our recipe page on our website is one of the most visited pages we have.

What has been your greatest achievement to date?

Pulling together a committed team to represent our dream and join us on the wild ride has been one of the most challenging but most rewarding parts of creating Fresh Fodder.

If you were stranded on a deserted island and could only take 3 things, what would they be?

Our family, the Fodder and our friends.
