Ridiculously Delicious Peanut Butter
A peanut butter that only uses peanuts from the Kingaroy region of Queensland, with just a dash of Murray River Salt, Ridiculously Delicious was founded after years of searching for a delicious natural peanut butter with a full flavour. Made from Australian golden roasted peanuts, ground to creamy, smooth perfection and lightly salted, Ridiculously Delicious has no sugars, no hyrogenated oils, no preservatives – just the non-stop thrill of peanut butter splendour!
Who are the team behind Ridiculously Delicious and what made you launch?
Ridiculously Delicious was founded in 2011 after bemoaning all of the flavourless natural peanut butters in the market. None of them had salt (which makes everything taste good right?) and used peanuts from far away lands like Argentina or China. So we created Ridiculously Delicious – a peanut butter that only uses peanuts from the Kingaroy region of Queensland, with just a dash of Murray River Salt. Ridiculously simple, yet so delicious.

What does a day in the life of the Ridiculously Delicious team look like?
We start the day with toast slathered with our peanut butter, or perhaps a sliced banana with a peanut butter topping, or a smoothie with a peanut butter boost. From there, we work with our distributor partners on furthering the reach of Ridiculously Delicious, and plan production and manage inventory. We snack on our peanut butter bars when peckish. We feed our kids peanut butter. We feed our neighbour’s kids peanut butter. We fall asleep, dreaming of peanuts and creamy, delicious peanut butter.
What sets Ridiculously Delicious peanut butter apart from other peanut butters currently available?
100% Australian peanuts, a rich roast, and a decent amount of Murray River Salt to make the flavour come out. No other junk! These days, there are lots of imitators, but you can’t beat the original.
Can you tell us a bit more about the process involved in making Ridiculously Delicious peanut butter?
The amazing, dedicated, hard working and super friendly farmers of the Kingaroy region grow the peanuts. Growing peanuts is a bitch. The weather has to be just right at the right time. One needs the right amount of rain around planting and no rain around harvesting. It’s really tough and much can go wrong. Post harvest, the peanuts are shelled and roasted by a fantastic company in Kingaroy called Crumptons. From there, the peanuts go to our peanut butter factory for salting, grinding and bottling.
What was involved in developing the range of snack bars?
The snack bars came out of a simple idea – how can we put our peanut butter into a bar? We also wanted something that was super delicious yet super low in sugar. And with only 8g of sugar in the Original Crunch, we think we’ve achieved that!
What has been your greatest achievement to date?
Finding each other and having our two beautiful kids. And supporting Australian farmers and food manufacturers by creating, promoting and selling a 100% Australian peanut butter.
If you were stranded on a deserted island and could only take 3 things what would they be?
A container of red wine, the complete works of the Stoic philosophers (Seneca, Marcus Aurelius etc) and a pallet of Ridiculously Delicious Peanut Butter.
