Alicia’s Larder

“Grandma always used to place a wooden chair at the side of the stove for me. The pan magically bubbled for hours on end, and the scent of Grandma’s alchemist’s touch wafted across the kitchen. I’d be up on that chair like a shot, peering into the pan watching for the colour to shift from a pale, undistinguishing liquid to the consistency and glow of treacle.”

Early on, Alicia’s Larder made the courageous decision not to use preservatives, colouring or artificial pectin.

This means lots of stirring and watching and waiting over pans! Alicia’s Larder started from humble beginnings, simply jams for “friends” that wanted a jar or two. But the list of friends grew and grew!

Now you can also have a spoon full of goodness just like Grandma made it!
