We caught up with the Brookfarm family to learn more.
Who are the team behind Brookfarm and what made you launch?
The Brook family – Pam, Martin, Eddie and Will are the family behind Brookfarm as well as a team of over 70 staff including production.
A family dream to move to the country and a passion for quality, healthy food sparked Pam and Martin Brook to transform a run down dairy in the Byron Bay hinterland into a working macadamia farm.
Brookfarm is now one of Australia’s leading producers of premium quality macadamia products and they continue to produce their award winning range in their purpose built Byron Bay bakehouse using the finest ingredients.
Being a sustainable company is of vital importance to Brookfarm and since they started Brookefarm they have regenerated rainforest; planting over 35000 new rainforest trees, employed natural farming practices in their macadamia plantation and created a haven for native wildlife. Their Byron Bay bakehouse also sports 288 solar panels and on a beautiful Byron Bay day – your muesli is being baked by the sun.

What was involved in developing the Brookfarm range and are there plans for expansion in the future?
Pam still creates all the recipes in her family kitchen and in the early days the Brooks would create their mixes on the family farm and then use the ovens at the local bakery to toast their muesli. Martin would then load the muesli into the back of his car and sell to local shops & cafes!
Key elements to the product development is tastings, recipe developments and ingredients innovation
We have some very exciting releases this year so watch this space!
